Penelope was a Staffordshire Bull Terrier who lived in Phoenix, AZ with Ben and Krista. She was born on January 3rd, 1999 and lived a wonderful, beloved life until June 25th, 2004, the day she lost her 5 month battle to Immune Mediated Hemolytic Anemia (IMHA) also referred to as Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia.
This day will forever be one of the saddest of my life.
Penelope, better known as Cheese, was one of the happiest, most loving dogs I have ever had the privilege of knowing and treating. Her spirit and fight to live was enduring and truly inspiring. She embodied the reasons why I became a veterinarian and still love helping those who can't help themselves.
Penelope’s Fund was created to help abandoned, stray or relinquished animals we receive that need veterinary medical or surgical care.
Penelope’s Fund is solely supported by generous donations and will help pay for emergency care and stabilization, surgical and medical procedures, medications, food, and housing of these deserving animals! These animals stay at Pine Creek Veterinary Hospital until a good family can be found.
