What to Expect:
After our doctor evaluates your pet, they will prescribe the appropriate laser treatment, and our staff will work with you to schedule the therapy appointments. Our laser therapy sessions take place in our specially designed Quiet Room, and each treatment session takes anywhere from 2-15 minutes depending upon the doctor’s prescription. A technician will pass the laser, a wand-like hand-held probe, over the affected area, while you and our technician as well as your pet will wear protective goggles. (Most clients think this is adorable and post photos of their pet on their social media!)
Your pet will experience a warm, pleasant sensation from the laser. Many pets relax into the treatment and any initial anxiety is usually short-lived. Each pet’s response to treatment is slightly different, but most owners report a significant improvement after only a few treatments.
